Welcome to Primary 4!
Term 1
It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year in Primary 4! We’ve been working hard on lots of fun activities that help us learn through hands-on problem solving and creativity.
In maths, we’ve tackled some domino challenges to boost our problem-solving skills, and we've been exploring money and place value using hundreds, tens and units. We've also been practising alphabetical ordering – a great skill for both literacy and everyday life.
Our first topic this term is World War Two, and it’s really brought history to life in our classroom. We’ve made our own gas masks, designed Lego air raid shelters, created ration books, and even sculpted clay medals. Our colourful Spitfires are proudly on display too!
One of the highlights of our topic was our trip to the Northern Ireland War Memorial Museum. We learned so much about life during the war, saw fascinating artefacts, and even got to try on some uniforms! It was a brilliant day out and helped us understand what we’ve been learning in a real-life setting.
Have a look at our photos to see all the fantastic learning we’ve been doing – we’re very proud of our hard work!
