Welcome to Primary 2
Check back soon to see all the things we have been doing in our new class!
In Primary 2 our topic this term is "Once Upon a Time" and we are enjoying learning about lots of different fairy tales.
Our focus stories are Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel.
Literacy
We have enjoyed reading lots of stories while developing our vocabulary and learning new words. We have been working on sentences. We have been writing for different purposes including letters, posters, invitations and we even designed our own book covers.
Numeracy
In Numeracy we have been developing our addition skills. We have enjoyed participating in lots of fun practical activities to consolidate our understanding. To challenge our learning we became mathematicians to solve problems.
In the Arts we have explored a range of materials to make characters and other key items relating to our stories.
Our next topic is "Ahoy There" and we cannot wait to find out more about pirates!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
