Welcome to Primary 5!
Check back soon to see all the things we have been doing in our new class!
Literacy
P5 have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox, by Roald Dahl. We are loving the story! We have been introduced to the characters; Mr Fox, Mrs Fox and their four Small Foxes and the nasty Boggis, Bunce and Bean. We have been looking at how Roald Dahl has created the characters using adjectives, some of our favourites descriptions include, Bunce, 'a kind of pot-bellied dwarf' and Bean who is 'as thin as a pencil'.
Numeracy
Last year, we learned our 2,5 and 10 times tables. This term we have been learning our 3 times tables and are ready to start our 4s. We have been thinking about how our times tables could help us solve real-life problems.
The World Around Us
This term our topic is called 'Let the Sparks Fly'. We are learning to make circuit boards. We look forward to making a light up decoration.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
